Psychiatric Nurse

Responsibilities

• Provide psychological problem identification and crisis interventions
• Deliver direct nursing services and mental health assessments
• Administer medications including intramuscular injections
• Monitor vital signs and draw blood for lab work
• Coordinate medical care with clinical staff and psychiatrists
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical records
• Assist consumers with psychological and social rehabilitation
• Maintain a trauma-informed environment of wellbeing

Requirements

• LPN: Graduation from accredited nursing school and valid Colorado LPN license
• RN: Valid Colorado RN license and minimum two years of nursing experience
• BSN: Bachelor of Science in Nursing
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform precise clinical procedures
• Capacity to handle emotionally charged situations and maintain professional boundaries

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in behavioral health or outpatient clinics
• Experience working with severe and persistently mentally ill populations
• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish or ASL
