Psychiatric Nurse I - Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Responsibilities

• Provide psychological problem identification, crisis interventions, and similar services to assigned patients
• Provide limited case management services as needed
• Assist consumers with psychological and social development and rehabilitation
• Coordinate consumer use of other programs and outside community resources
• Coordinate medical care and intervention with clinical staff and psychiatrists
• Draw blood for lab work and monitor vital signs
• Administer medications, including intramuscular and community injections
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical records consistent with standards
• Maintain a trauma-informed environment of wellbeing

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
• Licensed as a Practical Nurse (LPN) in good standing with the Colorado Board of Nursing
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform precise clinical procedures
• Capacity to handle emotionally charged situations and maintain professional boundaries

Preferred Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience working with patients with serious and persistent mental illness
• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish or ASL
