Psychiatric Advanced Practice Provider

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced medical and psychiatric services including diagnostic assessments and medication management
• Conduct health assessments, psychiatric evaluations, and medical exams
• Order and interpret lab tests for patients
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary treatment team on treatment and discharge planning
• Document patient care, progress notes, and medical assessments in a timely manner
• Utilize de-escalation skills to maintain safety for patients and staff
• Oversee quality assurance and compliance activities

Requirements

• Master’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited program
• Current, unencumbered, active license as an Advanced Practice Provider (PA-C or PMHNP) in Colorado
• Valid DEA Controlled Substance Registration Certificate
• Valid National Provider Identification (NPI) number
• Current CPR/First Aid/AED certification
• Minimum of two years of experience
• Proficiency with electronic medical records systems

Preferred Qualifications

• One year of inpatient residential experience
• CAQ certification for Physician Assistants
• Strong organizational and critical thinking skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
