Prototyping Support Technician

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and support renewable energy–related technical activities, including planning, scheduling, and execution of experiments, tests, and installations
• Provide hands-on troubleshooting and diagnostics for electrical, electronic, mechanical, and control systems
• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and safety
• Assist in equipment setup, installation, commissioning, and verification
• Support researchers and project teams with practical problem-solving and adherence to SOPs and HSE procedures
• Maintain accurate technical documentation, maintenance records, and project logs
• Contribute to continuous improvement through risk assessments and root cause analysis

Requirements

• Technical diploma or accredited apprenticeship in Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronics, Mechanical, or a related field
• 5 years of hands-on experience in commissioning, testing, and maintenance of electrical and/or mechatronic systems
• Practical experience servicing prototyping workshop equipment
• Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, electronic, and control system faults
• Experience in technical laboratory, workshop, or outdoor testing environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to PLC and CNC systems
