Prototype Engineering Planner II

Responsibilities

• Analyze engineering drawings, documentation, and quality standards to develop manufacturing work methodologies and instructions
• Generate and document "as-built" configurations by capturing the build Bill of Materials (BOM)
• Ensure engineering hardware meets strict quality, cost, and schedule requirements
• Perform BOM analysis, purchase components, and generate material status reports
• Manage the disposition of quality discrepancies and non-conformances
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and performance

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics)
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
• Experience with inventory control and material procurement databases
• Experience performing supplier quoting and interface activities to support supply chain functions
• U.S. Citizenship is required
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government Secret security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Active and in-scope US security clearance of Secret or higher
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and hierarchy definitions to develop actionable work instructions
• Strong ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplined and dynamic environment
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
• Experience in a direct customer-facing role
