Prototype Electrical Technician

Responsibilities

• Assemble, modify, and create electrical harnesses (levels 1 and 2) on prototype vehicles based on evolution plans and electrical diagrams
• Perform installation and removal of mechanical and electrical components
• Conduct level 1 electrical diagnostics and participate in prototyping studies
• Ensure compliance of vehicle electrical functions via control checklists
• Contribute to workshop organization using 5S methodology
• Draft work sheets including operations performed, mounted references, and photographic reports

Requirements

• Diploma in electricity, electrotechnics, or equivalent (Bac or Bac+2)
• Knowledge of automotive electricity, CAN communication networks, wiring, connectivity, and crimping
• Ability to read electrical diagrams and synoptics
• Required certifications: B1L / B2XL
• Experience in automotive or heavy vehicle wiring is preferred
• Must be able to obtain defense clearance
