Protein Scientist Technician

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute protein production workflows at lab scale, including molecular cloning, transient and stable expression, protein purification, and protein analytics
• Continuously optimize existing processes and introduce new technologies
• Document all work in electronic laboratory notebooks (ELN) and inventory systems in English
• Process, communicate, and present results within interdisciplinary teams
• Operate, monitor, and maintain modern laboratory equipment
• Manage general laboratory organization and support daily laboratory operations

Requirements

• Completed training as a Biologisch-technische Assistenz (BTA), Pharmazeutisch-technische Assistenz (PTA), or a comparable Life Sciences qualification
• Relevant practical experience in academic or industrial research
• Hands-on experience in cell culture, cell line development, and protein expression (CHO, HEK293)
• Strong knowledge of protein purification and analytical methods (e.g., ÄKTA, HPLC)
• Structured, precise, and diligent working style
• Team-oriented and reliable personality with a passion for interdisciplinary collaboration
• Very good proficiency in written and spoken English
