Protection Scientist Engineer, Integrity

Responsibilities

• Scope and implement abuse monitoring requirements for new product launches
• Improve processes to sustain monitoring operations for existing products and automate subtasks
• Prototype and mature systems of detection, review, and enforcement of abuse for major harms
• Work cross-functionally with Product, Policy, Ops, and Engineering teams to address key risks
• Respond to and investigate critical escalations, including those not caught by existing safety systems

Requirements

• At least 4 years of experience in technical analysis and detection
• Proficiency in SQL and Python
• Experience in trust and safety or working closely with policy and enforcement teams
• Experience with basic data engineering, such as building core tables or writing production data pipelines
• Understanding of machine learning principles and execution
• Experience scaling and automating processes, particularly with language models
