Protection of Family Links Field Officer

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain contacts with families of missing or captured persons to understand their unique needs and requests
• Process tracing inquiries, collect tracing requests, and undertake activities to search for missing persons
• Analyze missing caseloads and propose appropriate follow-up actions
• Ensure all data is entered accurately and timely into internal systems
• Provide advice to protection team members regarding compliance with internal missing cases procedures
• Organize awareness-raising sessions with families and authorities to disseminate ICRC actions
• Identify family needs and map relevant external services available to them
• Support gatherings of families and maintain regular contact with family associations

Requirements

• Ukrainian citizenship or permanent residence permit in Ukraine
• University degree or relevant professional experience
• 3-5 years of experience in social, political, or economic sciences (or similar fields)
• Fluency in English, Ukrainian, and Russian (written and spoken)
• Strong computer literacy
• Ability to work independently and effectively within a diverse, multi-cultural team
• Strong commitment to humanitarian principles and teamwork

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working with the ICRC or another international humanitarian organization
