About the role
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain contacts with families of missing or captured persons to understand their unique needs and requests
- Process tracing inquiries, collect tracing requests, and undertake activities to search for missing persons
- Analyze missing caseloads and propose appropriate follow-up actions
- Ensure all data is entered accurately and timely into internal systems
- Provide advice to protection team members regarding compliance with internal missing cases procedures
- Organize awareness-raising sessions with families and authorities to disseminate ICRC actions
- Identify family needs and map relevant external services available to them
- Support gatherings of families and maintain regular contact with family associations
Requirements
- Ukrainian citizenship or permanent residence permit in Ukraine
- University degree or relevant professional experience
- 3-5 years of experience in social, political, or economic sciences (or similar fields)
- Fluency in English, Ukrainian, and Russian (written and spoken)
- Strong computer literacy
- Ability to work independently and effectively within a diverse, multi-cultural team
- Strong commitment to humanitarian principles and teamwork
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working with the ICRC or another international humanitarian organization
