Protected Tactical Enterprise Service (PTES) Chief Engineer

Responsibilities

• Serve as the top technical decision authority and engineering leader for the PTES program
• Oversee system analysis, design, development, integration, test, and deployment
• Establish technical vision and design practices that are robust, scalable, and aligned with industry best practices
• Act as the primary customer technical interface and focal point for regulatory issues
• Manage technical risks and oversee the performance of assigned engineering staff
• Ensure engineers utilize appropriate technical processes, procedures, and tools to meet customer requirements
• Divide systems into modular components for Agile teams and establish secure development environments
• Establish, validate, and manage product quality and performance metrics

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field
• 14+ years of related work experience (for Senior level) or 20+ years (for Principal level)
• 7+ years of experience with architecture for programs of similar size and scope
• Active DoD Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required)
• Proven experience in Agile Software development
• Deep understanding of MILSATCOM ground systems design and architectural principles
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams of engineers and developers

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with PATS architecture and CONOPS
• Proficiency in Model Based System Engineering (MBSE)
• Experience with hardware and software development and deployment to GFE infrastructure
• Knowledge of Safety, Human Factors, Cyber Reliability, and Maintainability
