Propulsion Test Engineer

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, analyze, integrate, and test avionics and electrical systems
• Maintain configuration control over major avionics system elements including wiring diagrams and 3D CAD
• Coordinate with subsystem leads to develop requirements, test plans, and procedures
• Perform analysis to gauge system design adequacy and performance to meet program requirements
• Support ground and flight testing for propulsion test stands
• Evaluate risks and develop appropriate mitigation plans
• Contribute to the integration of complex aerospace systems

Requirements

• Experience in electrical engineering, avionics, electronics, or software development
• Proficiency with UDP/TCP and PCM protocols
• Experience with avionics wiring and hardware integration into aerospace vehicles
• Hands-on experience with data acquisition and instrumentation (thermocouples, accelerometers, strain gages, etc.)
• Proficiency in LabVIEW and Veristand
• Programming experience in C#/C/C++ or Python
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoW security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting test activities from a control room environment
• Knowledge of flight termination systems
• Experience with Matlab and data acquisition systems (National Instruments, ACRA, TTC, Safran, etc.)
• Familiarity with configuration management and source control (JIRA, JAMA, Confluence, Git)
