Propulsion Technician

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain fluid systems, including propellants, high pressure, and cryogenic systems
• Work alongside engineers to build, test, and maintain systems
• Troubleshoot and perform maintenance on fluid and gas systems, low and high pressure
• Work with engineers to build and maintain rocket engines and other propulsion related items
• Operate or learn to operate heavy machinery such as forklifts and overhead equipment
• Maintain a safety-first approach to team health and facility preservation

Requirements

• Experience building and testing high pressure fluid/gas systems
• Ability to read and understand Plumbing and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)
• Proficiency in tube fitting and bending
• Metal fabrication skills including benchwork layout and GD&T
• Ability to work from blueprints, manuals, or diagrams with minimal guidance
• High school diploma or equivalency certificate

Preferred Qualifications

• Rocket systems or test experience
• Liquid Oxygen (LOX) and cryogenics handling and systems maintenance
• Clean Room experience
• Airframe & Powerplant License
