Propulsion Systems Manufacturing Engineer

Responsibilities

• Create work instructions to fabricate, install, or modify propulsion systems
• Develop drawings and work instructions for tooling to support production
• Act as an engineering liaison to troubleshoot documentation and provide real-time shop floor support
• Troubleshoot propulsion mechanical systems and ground test integration
• Develop test plans and procedures for systems, functionality, and ATP
• Support hypersonic vehicle integrated testing and system design efforts
• Analyze engineering requirements to estimate fabrication time, cost, and producibility
• Source and support the purchase of propulsion components

Requirements

• Experience with vehicle systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, or flight controls
• Experience with Aerospace production documentation (drawings and work orders)
• Experience with PDM systems and engineering revision control
• Direct hands-on experience with aircraft propulsion systems, installation, and best practices
• Experience with Solid Rocket Motors (SRM) and Hybrid Rocket Motors (HRM)
• Proficiency with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes and multimeters
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Active security clearance
• Experience with Siemens Capital or Mentor Graphics
• 3D CAD modeling experience (NX, CATIA, or Solidworks)
• Proficiency with LabVIEW
• Familiarity with Jira
