Propulsion Systems Manufacturing Engineer

Responsibilities

• Create detailed work instructions and engineering documentation to support the fabrication, installation, and modification of propulsion systems
• Act as a liaison to the manufacturing shop, providing real-time troubleshooting and technical support for technicians
• Develop test plans, procedures, and tooling drawings to support production and ground test integration
• Support the integration and testing of complex hypersonic and carrier vehicle systems
• Analyze engineering requirements to ensure producibility within cost and schedule constraints
• Source and support the purchase of propulsion components based on released engineering documentation

Requirements

• Experience with aerospace production documentation, including drawings and work orders
• Hands-on experience with aircraft propulsion systems, including Solid Rocket Motors (SRM) and Hybrid Rocket Motors (HRM)
• Proficiency with PDM systems and engineering revision control processes
• Experience integrating launch vehicle or aircraft electrical power systems
• Familiarity with 3D CAD environments and common aerospace hardware
• Ability to use lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and power supplies
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Active security clearance
• Experience with 3D CAD modeling software such as NX, CATIA, or Solidworks
• Proficiency with Siemens Capital, Mentor Graphics, or LabVIEW
• Familiarity with configuration management systems like Jira
