Propulsion Systems EBU Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of advanced engine, nacelle, ebu, and APU installation concepts for BWB airframes
• Perform complex propulsion system analysis for seamless integration between engine, nacelle, and airframe
• Serve as the primary technical interface with engine, APU, and nacelle suppliers
• Lead hands-on integration and engine build-up (EBU) activities at partner facilities in Mojave, CA
• Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers and influence the propulsion technology roadmap

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering
• 5+ years of experience in propulsion

Preferred Qualifications

• 9+ years of related work experience or equivalent advanced degree (Master's, PhD)
• Foundational knowledge of gas turbine engine operation and thermodynamics
• Proficiency with CAD modeling software (CATIA/NX)
• Knowledge of Engine/APU turbomachinery design, development, and certification (e.g., 14 CFR Part 25, Part 33)
• Experience with engine certification programs or flight test data analysis
• Experience leading system integration and supplier oversight in aerospace
• Ability to plan and execute qualification testing and produce technical documentation
• Strong background in engine integration, installation analysis, and aircraft-level interfaces
