About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform structural analysis using defined tools to develop structural environment, characteristics, and performance.
- Develop, integrate, and document structural requirements to establish system design.
- Develop test plans and configurations, support test execution, and analyze results to validate system requirements.
- Define and document certification and test results for customers and regulatory agencies.
- Support in-service products by investigating failures and analyzing potential improvements.
- Coordinate with cross-functional engineering groups to establish product environments.
- Guide product design and verify structural integrity using analytical methods and finite element models throughout the product lifecycle.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace, Aeronautical, or Material Sciences).
- 2+ years of relevant work experience.
- 2+ years of experience in stress or structural analysis.
- 2+ years of experience with production systems in a manufacturing or engineering capacity.
- Experience working with large cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in the structural or aerospace industry.
- 3+ years of experience performing structural analysis.
- 2+ years of experience performing structural analysis on composite material systems.
- 2+ years of experience working on aircraft propulsion structures.
- Hands-on experience with the fabrication of aircraft propulsion structures.
- Prior experience with aircraft or heavy structures manufacturing/production systems.
