Propulsion Structures Design Engineer (Senior)

Responsibilities

• Manage technology development projects to mature new tools, processes, and methods for next-generation nacelles
• Design and develop components, run trade studies, and develop nacelle and propulsion architecture for new airplane programs
• Coordinate extensively with Propulsion Product Development teams across multiple locations
• Work with and influence various functions outside of the immediate propulsion structures team
• Navigate and develop solutions for vague, changing, and undeveloped requirements with minimal direction

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace/Aeronautical, or Material Sciences)
• 5+ years of experience with Propulsion Nacelle hardware
• 5+ years of experience with CATIA V5

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience leading design, activation, and operation of manufacturing systems for nacelles (engine inlets, thrust reversers, fan cowl support beams, engine mounts, etc.)
• Knowledge of Product Development processes and methods
• Experience conducting requirements development, verification, testing, and/or troubleshooting on technical projects
