About the role

Responsibilities

  • Own or contribute to hardware or software design to support the development of spacecraft or payloads
  • Create or support test campaigns and build test stands
  • Perform necessary analysis to support development and testing
  • Work on projects such as hotfire test facility propellant system design, component test bench design, or automated data reduction software

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or graduate program
  • Degree in Materials Science, Mechanical, Computer, or Electrical Engineering (or similar)
  • Completed coursework in at least one of the following: Fluid Mechanics, Thermodynamics, Heat Transfer, Compressible Flow, or Combustion
  • Familiarity with engineering design software and principles (NX/Teamcenter, GD&T, Matlab, or Python)
  • Hands-on experience with building or testing fluid systems
  • U.S. Person status for ITAR compliance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous internship or co-op experience
  • Experience on technical project teams (e.g., Rocket club, Formula SAE)
  • Completion of a Propulsion or Rocket Propulsion survey course
  • Familiarity with the safe operation of combustion devices, rocket propellants, and pressurized systems
