About the role
Responsibilities
- Own or contribute to hardware or software design to support the development of spacecraft or payloads
- Create or support test campaigns and build test stands
- Perform necessary analysis to support development and testing
- Work on projects such as hotfire test facility propellant system design, component test bench design, or automated data reduction software
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or graduate program
- Degree in Materials Science, Mechanical, Computer, or Electrical Engineering (or similar)
- Completed coursework in at least one of the following: Fluid Mechanics, Thermodynamics, Heat Transfer, Compressible Flow, or Combustion
- Familiarity with engineering design software and principles (NX/Teamcenter, GD&T, Matlab, or Python)
- Hands-on experience with building or testing fluid systems
- U.S. Person status for ITAR compliance
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous internship or co-op experience
- Experience on technical project teams (e.g., Rocket club, Formula SAE)
- Completion of a Propulsion or Rocket Propulsion survey course
- Familiarity with the safe operation of combustion devices, rocket propellants, and pressurized systems
