Propulsion Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of advanced propellant tanks or spacecraft propulsion systems from concept through flight qualification
• Provide technical leadership across design, analysis, manufacturing, testing, and integration
• Lead multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver mission-critical hardware on schedule
• Serve as the technical authority for propulsion system architecture and subsystem design
• Conduct propulsion trade studies and system architecture evaluations
• Mentor and develop engineers across multiple disciplines
• Drive technical program execution, risk reduction, and technology roadmaps

Requirements

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline
• 7+ years of relevant aerospace or propulsion engineering experience (Senior Engineer III)
• 10+ years of relevant aerospace or propulsion engineering experience (Principal Engineer IV)
• Demonstrated ability to lead engineering teams through major project milestones
• Expertise in propellant tank development or spacecraft propulsion systems
• U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent residency required for ITAR compliance

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years leading engineering teams specifically in spacecraft propulsion or propellant tanks
• Systems engineering experience including requirements development and verification
• Experience with Lean Six Sigma or project management methodologies
• Experience utilizing AI-enabled engineering or modeling tools
• Subject matter expertise in valves, regulators, thrusters, or fluid control devices
