About the role
Responsibilities
- Own development of new or existing products or systems as a technical lead
- Perform conceptual and detailed CAD designs for propulsion system components
- Conduct prototyping and development testing for flight hardware and test rigs
- Review and approve drawings, 3D PMI, reports, and specifications
- Execute systems engineering tasks including requirements gathering and definition
- Manage projects including schedule maintenance, risk identification, and tasking
- Provide technical and professional mentorship and coaching to team members
Requirements
- Engineering degree
- 4+ years of experience in propulsion development or equivalent high-performance field
- Background working with fluid system components (valves, regulators)
- Experience with end-to-end development (requirements, design, qualification, production)
- Detailed mechanical design experience using NX or equivalent CAD software
- Experience with PLM systems such as Teamcenter
- Hands-on engineering skills
- Ability to make decisions using engineering principles in ambiguous environments
Preferred Qualifications
- Project leadership experience and schedule management
- Test engineering experience (test plans, instrumentation, data analysis)
- Proficiency in Python for data manipulation and post-processing
