Proposal Manager

Responsibilities

• Develop and present winning sales proposals for hydropower turbines, generators, and ancillary equipment
• Manage the full sales cycle from pre-bid activities and budgetary estimates to customer negotiations and project handover
• Review customer RFQ packages and compare terms against internal legal guidelines to identify and mitigate commercial risks
• Attend pre-bid conferences and establish effective bidding strategies
• Act as a primary liaison between customers, consultants, subcontractors, and internal departments
• Create and adhere to project schedules and cost evaluations related to bid preparation
• Evaluate and negotiate commercial terms and conditions for bids

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline
• 5-10 years of experience in the hydropower or similar industry (energy, water/wastewater, pumps, motors)
• Comprehensive knowledge of proposal development, estimating procedures, and construction practices
• Strong technical skills with the ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Proven ability to evaluate and negotiate commercial terms and conditions
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for discussing technical details and pricing with customers
• Ability to travel domestically up to 25%
