Property Manager

Responsibilities

• Identify and implement strategies to increase revenue, occupancy, retention, and tenant satisfaction
• Manage the tenant application and leasing process for market-rate and affordable housing
• Conduct annual and interim resident re-certifications and prepare HUD reports
• Maintain accurate tenant files and documentation for HUD Section 8 compliance
• Oversee unit inspections and coordinate turnover activities
• Enforce lease terms and participate in eviction processes when necessary
• Act as a liaison between residents, local authorities, and support organizations
• Collaborate with the Maintenance Supervisor to support property goals

Requirements

• Prior experience with residential property management
• Strong business acumen and entrepreneurial mindset
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record and auto insurance
• Ability to pass a criminal background check

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Human Services or managing large apartment complexes
• Familiarity with HUD EIV and HUD handbook 4350.3 requirements
• Knowledge of Fair Housing and 504 Laws
• Proficiency with Yardi, Rent Café, EIV, or TRACS
• Experience with income and asset verification procedures
• Experience preparing for MORs, audits, and compliance reviews
