Property Manager

Responsibilities

• Initiate, plan, execute and monitor major and minor repairs and maintenance activities for buildings and site improvements
• Coordinate contractors, suppliers, and vendors including soliciting quotes, evaluating proposals, and issuing purchase orders
• Communicate repair requirements with site personnel to ensure timely resolution
• Assist Corporate Facility Manager in preparing annual budgets and providing follow-up reports
• Liaise with other Property Managers to determine best practices
• Assist senior management in searching for new properties
• Advise on methods to improve operations, reduce costs, and mitigate hazardous risks
• Coordinate new construction, additions, or renovations to ensure projects meet specifications and budget
• Conduct regular site visits to inspect building conditions and work quality
• Supervise contractors providing cleaning, snow removal, and landscaping services

Requirements

• Several years of experience in commercial building construction, property/facility management, or project coordination
• Experience managing suppliers and building/site improvement contractors
• Strong cost analysis and budget control skills
• Knowledge of Health & Safety requirements and codes
• Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, electrical, fire systems, and plumbing
• Fluency in both French and English
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel), Google Docs/Sheets, and Adobe Acrobat
• Familiarity with AutoCAD or computer-aided facility management software

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional qualifications such as FMP, CFM, RPA, or PMP
