Property Manager

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Property Lines portfolio to drive departmental growth and profitability
• Manage relationships with key brokers and clients to encourage targeted business submissions
• Increase market presence through regular visitation to promote products and risk appetites
• Drive new business by reviewing submissions and renewals within assigned authority limits
• Analyze pertinent data to determine risk acceptability according to underwriting standards
• Ensure underwriting systems are updated accurately and in a timely fashion
• Create monthly and quarterly reports, including budget and forecasting as necessary
• Supervise risk surveys with Risk Engineers for key risk locations

Requirements

• 5 to 10 years of experience at a senior underwriter level or equivalent industry experience
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (preferred)
• Master's degree or CPCU designation (preferred)
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
• Advanced aptitude with RMS and/or AIR catastrophe models
• Knowledge of insurance and reinsurance concepts
• Knowledge of catastrophe risk portfolio management and optimization processes
• Advanced proficiency in both English and Spanish languages
