Property and Casualty Underwriting Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic and physical files for underwriting records, policies, and endorsements.
• Support the collection, validation, and organization of data related to insurance applications and underwriting submissions.
• Coordinate the renewal process by gathering necessary information and preparing renewal documents.
• Manage production activities including submissions, quotes, declines, binds, and issuance to ensure timely service.
• Underwrite individual Property and Casualty insurance applications based on established guidelines and criteria.
• Ensure all underwriting activities adhere to company policies, industry regulations, and compliance standards.
• Collaborate with underwriting teams, clients, and brokers to clarify details and address inquiries.
• Assist in internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation.

Requirements

• Minimum of 6 months of experience in underwriting coordination, administrative support, or customer service roles within the insurance industry preferred.
• Must meet the minimum requirements for state P&C and/or surplus line licenses.
