About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the property management team for a portfolio of retail properties
  • Manage accounts receivable and payable, including processing invoices, purchase orders, and bank deposits
  • Conduct monthly rent-roll reviews and pre-authorized debit report analysis
  • Handle tenant communications, including issuing notification letters, demand notices, and refunds
  • Assist with monthly and annual budgeting processes
  • Monitor and collect tenant insurance and sales reports
  • Coordinate with the Operations team to dispatch maintenance and security services
  • Liaise with property accountants, lease administrators, and legal teams to ensure data accuracy
  • Maintain tenant move-in and move-out documentation and checklists

Requirements

  • 1 to 3 years of administration experience, ideally in residential, commercial, or retail property management
  • Solid understanding of basic accounting principles
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook)
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in business, accounting, or a related field
  • Experience using JDE or Building Engines
