Property Accountant

Responsibilities

• Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded
• Update accounts receivable, issue invoices, accounts payable, and perform reconciliations
• Assist in processing balance sheets, income statements, and other financial statements
• Update financial data in databases to ensure accuracy and availability
• Prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports and aging reports
• Assist senior accountants with monthly/yearly closings and other accounting projects
• Conduct annual CAM, tax, and insurance escalations and prepare tenant packages
• Complete quarterly property snapshots and financial statements

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a relevant field
• Proven experience as a US Accountant
• Strong numerical skills and analytical acumen
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office
• Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles
• Excellent organizing abilities and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with accounting software such as Yardi
• Accounting experience in the real estate or hospitality industry
