Responsibilities

• Advise on core scenarios including rent, concessions, deposits, subsidies, and month-end close
• Translate real-world accounting workflows into clear product requirements and acceptance tests
• Review and validate calculations for prorations, allocations, and charge/credit logic
• Lead testing and validation by developing test cases and running UAT with client accountants
• Define standards, terminology, and event lifecycles for controllers and onsite teams
• Capture best practices and edge cases from enterprise customers into durable playbooks

Requirements

• 5+ years in multifamily property accounting or controllership at a PMC, owner-operator, or REIT
• Deep knowledge of GL, sub-ledgers, resident ledgers, and US GAAP
• Strong communication skills for interacting with client accounting, operations, and leasing teams
• Ability to work in person at the New York City office 4-5 days a week

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a software or SaaS environment
• Familiarity with leading multifamily systems and data handoffs
• Familiarity with AI and automation as they relate to accounting workflows
