Prompt Engineer

Responsibilities

• Audit and re-architect existing monolithic prompts into modular, maintainable chains
• Lead selection and evaluation of language models for specific tasks
• Own the quality of AI-generated clinical outputs and define validation processes
• Evolve evaluation frameworks and clinical note quality rubrics
• Establish systematic output validation, including regression testing and edge case identification
• Collaborate with GenAIOps for production-ready, versioned, and deployable prompts
• Stay current on the LLM landscape and emerging prompting techniques
• Mentor future prompt designers and contribute to internal best practices

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in AI/ML, product development, or computational linguistics
• 2+ years of hands-on prompt engineering in production LLM systems
• Experience with modular prompt architectures (chaining, routing, reflection)
• Experience designing LLM evaluation frameworks and failure mode analysis
• Familiarity with commercial LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google)
• Proficiency in Python or other scripting languages
• Advanced proficiency in English and French
• Residency in the province of Quebec

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare, clinical, or life sciences domains
• Experience with self-hosted or open-weight models
