Responsibilities

• Conduct in-person and remote community outreach across NYC and Nassau County to disseminate sexual and reproductive health information.
• Build and grow partnerships with local businesses, community leaders, and community-based organizations.
• Facilitate group education sessions and workshops in various community venues.
• Provide patient navigation, including making appointments via EPIC software and providing Spanish interpretation during health center visits.
• Host virtual office hours to answer community questions and provide resource referrals.
• Complete outreach documentation, data collection, and accurate reporting.
• Support administrative tasks such as mentoring new staff and coordinating outreach activities.

Requirements

• Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish.
• Deep knowledge of Latin American customs, cultural norms, and prevailing attitudes toward reproductive health.
• Strong ties to Latin American communities in NYC and Nassau County.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and teleconferencing platforms (Zoom, Teams).
• Ability to travel throughout NYC and Nassau County.
• Flexibility to work a schedule that includes mornings, evenings, and weekends.
• Commitment to health equity, bodily autonomy, and racial justice.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in community outreach, advocacy, or patient navigation.
• Proficiency in additional languages or dialects beyond Spanish and English.
