Promotions Manager

Responsibilities

• Develop and own the promotional strategy for TakealotMORE subscriptions on Takealot and Mr D
• Define and maintain rules and guidelines for member-exclusive promotions and funding models
• Use data and analytics to select deals, evaluate performance, and identify trends
• Establish and manage the promotional budget to maximize ROI and meet GMV and retention targets
• Collaborate with internal teams including Retail, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain
• Spearhead personalization initiatives to tailor promotions to subscriber preferences
• Work with Product and Engineering teams to develop the tech roadmap for promotions
• Track and report on financial performance and present results to senior leadership

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Data Analytics, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in e-commerce, retail, or subscription-based businesses
• Proven track record in developing and executing promotional strategies
• Experience in budget management with a focus on ROI
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, SQL, or BI platforms (Looker, Big Query, Tableau, Power BI)
• Strong analytical skills and ability to work with large datasets
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree
• Experience using KNIME, R, or Python for data analysis and modeling
• Familiarity with personalization tools, segmentation, and targeting
