Promotional Claims Accrual Analyst

Responsibilities

• Perform ongoing review, management, analysis, and adjustments of promotional spend accruals for month- and quarter-end close
• Monitor, update, and maintain accruals to ensure accuracy and compliance with SOPs, internal controls, and GAAP rules
• Review monthly GL details and financial postings to identify necessary updates
• Participate in internal and external audits as needed
• Identify opportunities for process enhancements and improvements
• Communicate insights on fluctuations within Promotional Allowances accrual and expense to leadership
• Develop and deliver various analytical reports and participate in adhoc projects
• Review promotional planned revisions and cancellation requests to ensure proper administration

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in Accounting
• 1-3 years of experience in analytics
• Strong understanding of accounting principles related to accruals
• Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
• Proactive, self-motivated mindset

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Mathematics, Business Administration, or related studies
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, Power BI, SAP, Salesforce, or VIP-PPM
• Typing and 10-key skills
