Project/Programme Lead

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of major, complex programmes across the full lifecycle
• Set and maintain programme strategy, governance, and delivery frameworks
• Provide leadership across multidisciplinary teams including project management, commercial, and engineering
• Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders and C-suite level executives
• Drive integration across multiple projects, aligning scope, schedule, cost, and risk
• Establish robust programme controls including cost, schedule, and reporting
• Lead commercial and financial performance, forecasting, and contract management
• Manage programme-level risks, issues, and dependencies
• Champion health, safety, and sustainability

Requirements

• Proven track record delivering major programmes (£250m+) within construction or infrastructure
• Strong project delivery background with progression into programme leadership
• Deep experience across the full programme lifecycle
• Understanding of construction delivery models, procurement routes, and contracts (e.g., NEC, JCT)
• Exceptional stakeholder engagement and C-suite influencing experience
• Strong commercial acumen including cost, risk, and value management
• Degree-qualified in construction, engineering, or project management
• Professional accreditation such as APM, MSP, PRINCE2, or PMI
