About the role
Responsibilities
- Drive technical decisions and analysis concerning the ETCS Wayside at the solution level.
- Manage the technical interface with existing trackside products and design levels.
- Oversee the Scope of Work and relationships for the new internal ETCS Wayside Solution Platform.
- Act as the technical representative for customers and external stakeholders throughout the project cycle.
- Coordinate the integration of ETCS Wayside with conventional signaling, communication, and onboard systems.
- Ensure technical consistency through engineering process management, focusing on quality, cost, and delivery (QCD).
- Support installation, testing, and commissioning activities for wayside systems.
- Participate in the development and execution of the migration plan.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related scientific subject.
- P. Eng Certification (or currently in progress).
- At least 2 years of experience in a technical position working on ETCS or ATP (Automatic Train Protection) signaling projects.
- Knowledge of design and construction activities related to ATP systems.
- Experience with technical subcontractor management.
- Hands-on experience with cost and planning control within an engineering scope.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with customer relationship management in contractual situations.
- Understanding of the full engineering project deployment lifecycle.
- Ability to manage complex technical interfaces and multi-disciplinary teams.
