About the role

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of draughtspersons to achieve project objectives
  • Set up Drawing Office (DO) per company standards and procedures
  • Manage budgets, forecasts, and resource requirements for the design office
  • Maintain the Drawing Register and handle drawing office administration
  • Report on progress and advise on deviations or corrective actions
  • Perform actual draughting work when required
  • Manage project changes, including budget deviations and scope revisions
  • Provide input for man-hour/register generation for tenders
  • Ensure technical accuracy of 2D drawings and 3D models
  • Conduct site visits and provide feedback to engineers and draughtspersons

Requirements

  • Multiple discipline drawing office practice certificate or completed N6
  • 10-15+ years of experience in discipline-specific draughting within mineral processing or petrochemical plant projects
  • Proven experience managing draughtspersons and interfacing with project teams
  • Proficiency in CAE software, specifically AutoCAD
  • Strong knowledge of sector-specific legislation and standard specifications
  • Ability to work independently with minimal guidance
