Project Safety Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage on-site safety efforts on complex, large-scale projects, including data centers and advanced manufacturing facilities.
• Develop and ensure compliance with site-specific safety plans.
• Perform regular safety inspections, recommend corrective actions, and issue safety violations as necessary.
• Manage all new worker orientations and maintain detailed safety recordkeeping.
• Lead the safety portion of preconstruction meetings and weekly subcontractor coordination meetings.
• Conduct site-wide safety standdowns, toolbox talks, and small group discussions.
• Collect and manage subcontractor safety documentation, including fall protection plans and training certificates.
• Collaborate with subcontractors to conduct incident investigations, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.

Requirements

• 5-15 years of construction experience managing complex, large-scale projects (e.g., data centers, heavy commercial, or industrial).
• BS in Occupational Health and Safety or a closely related field.
• Completed OSHA 30-hour training.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Procore.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to follow a rotation schedule: 11 days on-site, followed by 3 days at home.
• Ability to meet physical demands, including standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience working with a general contractor.
• CSP, CHST, STS, or similar safety certifications.
• OSHA 500/510 certification.
