Project Safety Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Administer and oversee the project’s safety program throughout the full construction lifecycle
• Implement and manage construction safety processes, including hazard identification and field inspections
• Conduct incident investigations and prepare documentation with preventive recommendations
• Provide documented continuing education and practical training in fall protection, scaffolds, excavation, and electrical safety
• Review and approve safety method statements and procedures for high-hazard activities
• Coordinate emergency response planning and maintain accurate safety records
• Serve as a liaison with project leadership and ensure subcontractor compliance

Requirements

• 7+ years of building construction safety experience (O&G or industrial experience not accepted)
• OR a 4-year safety degree with 3+ years of field safety experience
• Must possess OSHA 500 or OSHA 502 certification
• Documented continuing education in high-hazard topics within the last 5 years
• Current certifications in First Aid, CPR, and AED (within last 2 years)
• Strong experience in incident prevention and field engagement
