About the role
Responsibilities
- Coordinate all Safety Assurance activities throughout the project life cycle, from tender and design to commissioning and warranty.
- Define the Safety Plan and manage the associated safety workload and planning.
- Perform safety analysis, manage the Hazard Log, and review Design, V&V, and T&C activities from a safety perspective.
- Build comprehensive Safety Reports and the Safety Case.
- Apply safety assurance methodologies, including risk acceptance criteria and verification and validation.
- Defend Safety Case argumentations before internal and external (ISA) assessors and manage action plans to close findings.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance in signalling projects and manage involved Safety Assurance Engineers.
Requirements
- Engineering degree.
- More than 5 years of experience in safety signalling projects (CBTC, IXL, or ERTMS/ERTMS ONB preferred).
- Fluent in both English and Spanish.
- Proven experience in Safety Assurance within connected railway signalling projects.
- Working knowledge of safety methods including PHA, FMECA, FTA, IHA, OSHA, SRIL, Hazard Log, and Safety Case.
- Experience working effectively in multi-site and multi-cultural environments.
