Project Safety Advisor

Responsibilities

• Own site-wide health, safety, and environmental (HSE) programs for hyperscale data center construction projects
• Perform daily walkthroughs focused on high-risk activities including trenching, crane operations, scaffolding, and heavy equipment
• Partner with prime contractors to ensure safety programs are effectively implemented
• Track and report incident rates, near misses, and leading safety indicators
• Lead safety oversight during the transition to live power environments, including UPS, switchgear, and generators
• Audit prime contractor safety programs and lead weekly safety leadership meetings
• Establish and maintain emergency response plans, evacuation routes, and medical response procedures

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Construction Management, or equivalent experience
• 5+ years in heavy industrial construction safety (e.g., oil and gas, power generation, or large-scale manufacturing)
• Current OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification or OSHA 510
• First Aid, CPR, and AED certification
• Deep working knowledge of OSHA construction regulations and NFPA 70E
• Ability to work full-time on active construction sites in varying outdoor conditions

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional certifications such as CSP, ASP, GSP, or CHST
• Prior experience supporting data center construction or commissioning
• Proficiency with Procore or SafetyCulture/iAuditor
