Project Quantity Surveyor

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates, bills of quantities (BOQ), and tender documentation
• Review drawings and specifications to identify project requirements and cost implications
• Conduct quantity take-offs and cost analysis for construction projects
• Manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost control processes
• Evaluate subcontractor quotations and prepare comparative analyses
• Prepare and administer contracts, variations, progress claims, and final accounts
• Monitor project expenditures and identify cost-saving opportunities
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, consultants, and contractors
• Assess and certify subcontractor progress payments
• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, company policies, and industry standards
• Support procurement activities and material cost evaluations
• Prepare periodic commercial and financial reports for management

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Quantity Surveying or Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
• Minimum 5–7 years of proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in construction projects
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, contracts, and cost management
• Proficiency in quantity surveying and estimation software
• Strong understanding of BOQ preparation and tendering processes
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
• Experience in building or infrastructure projects in the UAE
• Knowledge of FIDIC and various UAE Authorities contracts

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in commercial, residential, industrial, or infrastructure projects
• Experience using AutoCAD, CostX, Planswift, or similar software
