Project Quality Manager

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage contract-specific Project Quality Plans (PQP)
• Oversee Quality Assurance Programs including nonconformance reporting, subcontractor oversight, and internal audits
• Review and approve subcontractor quality plans to ensure contractual compliance
• Lead and mentor junior QA/QC personnel to reinforce correct quality behaviors
• Coordinate causal analysis investigations on project-related issues and implement corrective actions
• Collaborate with project management to develop Inspection and Test Plans (ITP) for all operations
• Ensure all quality documentation required for project turnover is completed and organized
• Maintain professional relationships with client personnel while reinforcing a construction safety culture

Requirements

• Four-year degree in engineering or science preferred (or equivalent experience as specified in job details)
• 5+ years of quality experience in an EPC or industrial construction environment
• Thorough knowledge of implementing Quality Management Systems (QMS)
• Working knowledge of construction industry codes including AASHTO, ACI, AWS, ASME, and NEC
• Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills
• Ability to travel frequently and work in various field environments and climates

Preferred Qualifications

• ASQ Certified Manager of Quality / Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE)
• Current AWS Certified Welding Inspector certification
