Project Quality Manager

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage a contract-specific Project Quality Plan (PQP).
• Oversee the Nuclear Quality Assurance Program, including nonconformance reporting, subcontractor oversight, and internal audits.
• Review and approve subcontractor quality plans to ensure full contractual compliance.
• Lead and mentor junior QA/QC personnel and manage project quality staff.
• Coordinate and perform causal analysis investigations and QA audits on the QMS and PQP.
• Collaborate with project management to develop mitigation strategies for identified quality risks.
• Ensure all quality documentation required for project turnover is completed and organized.
• Maintain a positive, collaborative relationship with the Client while reinforcing a nuclear safety culture.

Requirements

• 10+ years of nuclear quality experience in a Department of Energy (DOE) or Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) environment.
• Thorough knowledge of Nuclear Quality Management Systems (QMS) and the EPC contractual model.
• Working knowledge of nuclear construction codes and standards (ASME, AWS, ACI, ASTM, etc.).
• Experience performing and managing the commercial grade dedication process.
• Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills for interacting with craft personnel and management.
• Ability to work onsite at active construction sites in Oak Ridge, TN or Idaho Falls, ID.

Preferred Qualifications

• Engineering or science degree.
• NQA-1 qualified lead auditor or ability to qualify within one year.
• ASQ Certified Manager of Quality / Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE) certification.
• Additional certifications from AWS, ACI, ASNT, ASQ, or NACE.
• Current or previous experience in Nondestructive Testing (NDT).
