Project Quality Engineer

Responsibilities

• Participate in Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) for new products and engineering changes
• Develop and maintain quality system documentation, including Control Plans, Process PFMEAs, and Work Instructions
• Coordinate and execute Product and Process Validation (PPAP), including documentary evidence and laboratory testing
• Ensure compliance with Customer Specific Requirements (CSR) and standards such as IATF 16949 and VDA 6.3
• Lead problem-solving during the development phase using 8D, Ishikawa, and 5 Why methodologies
• Coordinate first article inspections and process audits
• Support production and quality teams regarding new product issues
• Participate in design reviews (DFMEA, DVP&R) alongside product engineering
• Act as the primary quality liaison for customers during the launch phase
• Manage deviations and change requests, including SCARs and waivers

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in project quality or development within the automotive industry
• Advanced English proficiency
• Proficiency in Core Tools: APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, and SPC
• Strong knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and VDA 6.3 standards
• Ability to interpret technical drawings using GD&T
• Proven experience in root cause analysis (8D, 5 Why, Ishikawa)
