Project Quality Coating & Insulation Engineer

Responsibilities

• Inspect application of protective coatings on structures, piping, and equipment
• Ensure surface preparation, coating thickness, adhesion, and curing meet project specifications
• Inspect installation of thermal, acoustic, and fireproof insulation materials
• Verify material certifications, batch numbers, and proper storage conditions
• Conduct visual inspections, thickness measurements, and adhesion tests
• Witness applied coating and painting system tests according to approved QCP
• Identify, report, and resolve defects or non-conformances (NCRs)
• Maintain accurate records of all inspections and test results
• Provide regular progress updates and recommendations to the Construction Quality Manager

Requirements

• Diploma in Materials Science, Engineering, or Construction
• Certification in coating inspection (NACE Level 1/2, SSPC, FROSIO, or equivalent)
• Insulation inspection certification (ICORR or equivalent) is a plus
• Proven experience in coating and insulation inspection within oil & gas, offshore, or marine industries
• Fluent in spoken and written English
• Strong problem-solving and documentation skills
• Knowledge of HSE regulations related to coating and insulation processes
