Project Portfolio Manager - Wayside Domestic 1

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate a portfolio of signaling projects in Italy, ensuring all QCDP (Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Performance) commitments are met
• Act as the line manager for Project Managers, overseeing their performance and developing their professional competencies
• Accountable for the financial performance (Margin & Cash) and operational KPIs of the project portfolio
• Allocate project management resources and arbitrate conflicts in collaboration with stakeholders to align with company profitability objectives
• Interface with Country Project Directors, Managing Directors, and third parties to synchronize actions and secure overall strategy
• Provide operational support to project teams, including risk management, cost reduction action plans, and mitigation strategies
• Monitor project execution through Management Project Reviews (MPR) and Financial Project Reviews (FPR)

Requirements

• Master's degree in a relevant field
• 10+ years of extensive experience in project, program, or portfolio management within complex development environments
• Proven experience in the Signaling or Infrastructure sectors
• Demonstrated leadership experience in multi-national companies, including transversal or international assignments
• Strong skills in team management, resource planning, and capacity coordination
• Ability to manage customer relationships and navigate complex matrix environments

Preferred Qualifications

• IPMA or PMP certification
• Experience managing or developing public works contracts in Italy
• Technical knowledge of signaling technologies
• Familiarity with Lean management tools and Alstom's ways of working
