Project Officer (Finance)

Responsibilities

• Coordinate budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting across multiple international development programs
• Maintain financial systems, project data, and reporting tools
• Analyse budgets, expenditure, and program performance to provide actionable insights
• Manage financial administration through the program lifecycle, including grant acquittals and project closures
• Prepare reports for internal stakeholders and external funding partners
• Identify and implement improvements to financial processes, systems, and reporting
• Build effective working relationships across the ABC and with external stakeholders

Requirements

• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, or project financial administration
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make practical recommendations
• Advanced Excel skills and confidence using Microsoft Office
• Experience with SAP or similar financial systems
• Relevant qualifications in finance, accounting, business, project administration, or equivalent experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across diverse teams and cultures

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in international development, donor-funded, or grant-funded environments
• Strong intercultural awareness and relationship-building skills
• Experience supporting process improvement initiatives
