About the role
Responsibilities
- Review NoVA screening and assessment recommendations and approve eligibility determinations
- Oversee difficult and priority domestic violence cases to resolve high-risk situations
- Provide crisis intervention, short-term counseling, and ongoing safety planning
- Supervise NoVA MRT/Consultation social work staff
- Coordinate and participate in training opportunities for staff regarding community resources
- Monitor internal administrative controls for tracking actions and outcomes
- Establish collaborative relationships with DHS staff, DV service providers, and other City Agencies
Requirements
- Master's Degree in Social Work from an accredited school
- One year of full-time experience practicing social work
- Experience in casework, group work, or community organization methodologies
- Ability to obtain a CSW or LMSW license within one year of appointment
