Project Manager/NEPA Environmental Planner

Responsibilities

• Lead energy projects of varying complexity while serving as a technical specialist in environmental planning and review
• Manage projects through the NEPA process, including the development of NEPA-compliant documents
• Coordinate tasks with technical disciplines, track progress, and conduct quality reviews
• Serve as the primary author for planning and environmental documents
• Lead or support client and public meetings to communicate complex information
• Provide mentorship and peer review to staff on the NEPA process and document structure
• Contribute to business development by preparing scopes, budgets, and participating in proposals
• Develop client relationship-building strategies with utilities and renewable energy developers

Requirements

• 10+ years of related work experience in environmental planning or similar
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in environmental planning, policy, science, or a related field
• Proven experience with NEPA and Bureau of Land Management (BLM) regulatory analysis
• Experience drafting NEPA documents such as CatEx, EA, and EIS
• Experience managing projects from initiation through completion, including budget and schedule management
• Ability to provide a professional technical writing sample

Preferred Qualifications

• Established network of energy developers to drive business growth
• Experience with Project Management Assistance Contractor (PMAC) services
• Expertise in renewable energy project environmental services
