Project Manager Water

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative and technical management over multiple water resources, water treatment, or wastewater projects.
• Interact directly with clients and regulatory agencies to ensure project alignment and compliance.
• Establish and review time-and-hour budgets and project schedules to ensure successful delivery.
• Lead design teams comprising various technical disciplines and specialty sub-consultants.
• Identify business development opportunities with existing clients and lead the proposal process.
• Perform detailed design for municipal engineering projects, including storm sewer, sanitary sewer, water systems, and pump stations.
• Prepare engineering drawings, specifications, cost estimates, and other technical deliverables.
• Assist during the construction phase by reviewing shop drawings, RFIs, and design clarifications.
• Mentor and supervise less experienced engineers and technical staff.

Requirements

• B.S. degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• 7+ years of experience in water engineering.
• Proven experience in both the design and management of water-related projects.
• Strong technical writing skills.
• Ability to lead and manage people and projects with a commercial mindset.

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional Engineer (PE) license in the state of New York or the ability to obtain one within 6 months.
• Experience working with the NYC Department of Environmental Protection or other city agencies.
