About the role

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee the daily implementation, finances, and operations of multi-country maternal and child global health projects
  • Monitor budgets, inventory, and financial forecasting for internal research teams and external study grants
  • Develop standard operating procedures and recommend workflow improvements to ensure smooth research operations
  • Oversee project progress by setting deadlines, resolving issues, and ensuring projects are completed on time, on scope, and on budget
  • Write various reports and support the development of press releases, presentations, ethics applications, and grant applications
  • Supervise and train research assistants, technicians, and students supporting global health research studies
  • Ensure compliance with institutional, ethical, and sponsor policies for global research projects
  • Strengthen relationships with internal and external partners, including university collaborators, NGOs, and government agencies

Requirements

  • University degree in a relevant discipline or technical program
  • Minimum of four years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Commitment to enhancing awareness, knowledge, and skills related to equity, diversity, and inclusion
  • Willingness to respect diverse perspectives, including those in conflict with one's own

Preferred Qualifications

  • Training in statistical methods and data analysis
  • Experience with software such as SPSS and Redcap
  • Exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities
  • Ability to maintain high levels of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Web and social media skills
